Journalists Friends of Wildlife and Natural Heritage(JFW-NH) is a national NGO established in 2016 by journalists, writers and other people who are passionate about wildlife, environment and natural heritage in order to protect wildlife and its environments which faces extinction because of poaching as well as conserve the environment and natural resources which are degraded and destructed by human activities

JFW-NH vision is to be a leading advocacy organization in defending endangered wildlife and the environment in Tanzania.

WHAT WE DO

— We Advocate for Wildlife protection.

Journalists Friends of Wildlife and Natural Heritage works with various stakeholders to advocate for wildlife conservation and protection in the national parks, game reserves and wildlife management areas in Tanzania.

— We Build Networks

Journalists Friends of Wildlife and Natural Heritage works to build strong community systems around the game controlled areas for the aim of conserving the wildlife and its environment.

— We Strengthen

Journalists Friends of Wildlife and Natural Heritage empowers the communities living around the wildlife controlled areas to become self reliant and participate in the fight against poaching and degradation of the environment and resources around them.

— We Educate

Journalists Friends of Wildlife and Natural Heritage raises awareness at all levels of wildlife conservation chain; local, national and international levels.

— We Monitor and Research

Journalists Friends of Wildlife and Natural Heritage undertake research on current issues affecting wildlife conservation and protection, wildlife crimes inclusive. Moreover we do monitoring and follow-up of legal cases.

— We Consult

Journalists Friends of Wildlife and Natural Heritage undertakes consultations and dialogues with various stakeholders for policy and legislation change.
